How is a role different from a person?

A person is a Vymex user with their own profile. A role is part of the company structure that exists regardless of who performs it.

  • A role stays in the structure when people change, together with its tasks, files, instructions and history.
  • A person can have several roles in different companies, leave a role or be assigned to another one.

This makes it possible not to build the company "around a person" and not to lose knowledge when someone leaves. In classic companies it is often "person = function". In Vymex, a person performs a function through a role.
