Why does Vymex change the norm rather than "solve problems"?
Because a problem is a consequence of the norm. As long as the cause is unchanged, the problems keep coming back.
For example:
- the norm is chaos in the structure, so "someone misunderstood the task" happens constantly;
- there are no roles — "nobody is responsible";
- knowledge is passed on in chats — "nothing is documented".
Vymex does not patch symptoms; it changes the foundation: from day one the company works in a system of roles where these symptoms do not arise. It is a harder path, but a far more effective one.
